- Answer R2: The DBM 620 has a battery life of 30 hours. A flashing red LED indicates when the batteries are exhausted and need replacing.
- Question Q3: How do I connect the measuring unit on the base?
- Answer R3: Connection of the measuring unit to the base is made via the two pins on the back of housing.
- Question Q4: Which hood comes with the DBM 620? What are the different sizes of hoods available?
- Answer R4: The DBM 620 with a 610 x 610 mm hood. 4 other sizes are available as options:

- Question Q6 : Where can I get the SmartKap app?
- Answer R6: You can download the SmartKap app free of charge from Google Play Store or App Store. Scan the QR code on your DBM 620 instrument’s Quick Start Guide to go directly to the relevant download page.
- Question Q7: What iOS or Android operating system do I need to use the app?
- Answer R7: The SmartKap app is compatible with iOS version 8.0 or above, and Android version 4.4 (KitKat) or above.
- Question Q8: How do I update the SmartKap app?
- Answer R8: You will receive a notification when an update is available. Simply download the update from Google Play Store or App Store.
- Question Q9: What types of measurement can I perform with the SmartKap app?
- Answer R9: You can use the Smartkap app to measure differential pressure, airflow, air velocity, temperature and humidity.
- Question Q10: Where do I find the measurement results in the SmartKap app?
- Answer R10: There are three ways to view measurements taken by the DBM 620: you can see the results on screen directly, in tabular format, or in graph format.
- Question Q11: Can I save my measurements in the SmartKap app?
- Answer R11: Yes. You can use the SmartKap app to save your measurements and generate PDF reports. You can even forward the reports by email, provided that your tablet or smartphone is connected to a Wi-Fi network. You can also use the app to take photos for inclusion in your maintenance report.
- Question Q12: Is it possible to change the type of air vent used during an intervention using the SmartKap application?
- Answer R12: Yes, a dedicated menu is provided in the application. 7 types of air vents are available, and it is possible to create as many custom air vents as necessary.

- Question Q13: How do I detect my DBM 620?
- Answer R13: To detect your DBM 620:
- Swithch on the DBM 620 measuring unit.
- Open the SmartKap app.
- Tap “Connect a device” (in airflow or manometer mode)
- Launch the detection: the measuring unit will be detected

- Answer R14: Once you have detected the measuring unit (see question 13), just select the detected measuring unit.

- Question Q15: My smartphone has lost connection with my DBM 620 measuring unit. Why might this have happened?
- Answer R15: There are several reasons why the connection could drop:
- The measuring unit is switched off – switch it back on again.
- Your smartphone is too far away from the measuring unit – try moving them closer together.
- Wireless connection is turned off on your smartphone – turn it back on again.
- The green LED is flashing quickly, which means that the probe is not paired – try pairing with your smartphone again.

- Switched off: the probe is switched off.
- Flashing green (quickly): the measuring unit is ready to be detected and paired.
- Flashing green (slowly): the measuring unit is paired and ready for use.
- Red: the batteries are exhausted and should be replaced.

- Answer R18: Yes, an auto-switch-off function is available. It can be set between 1 and 60 minutes
