Monitoring essential climate conditions
Greenhouse production is directly influenced by light, temperature and hygrometry conditions. It is essential to monitor these parameters with reliable and accurate measuring devices to ensure an optimal growing environment.
The intensity of light has a direct impact on photosynthesis, while temperature and humidity influence plant growth and development. Sauermann devices enable these key parameters to be monitored at specific times or continuously.

Continuous Monitoring
Continuous Monitoring
Continuous monitoring involves installing sensors at various locations in the greenhouse. The number of sensors required depends on the size and layout of the facility and the type of crop, which may require measurements at different heights.
Sauermann sensors are equipped with remote probes that can be positioned as close as possible to the critical points to be monitored and are capable of transmitting their data to any type of supervision and control system.
Spot measurements
Spot measurements
One-off measurements using a lux meter and thermo-hygrometer are essential. This enables a more detailed analysis of the conditions, identifies any imbalances and allows the lighting or shading settings to be adjusted according to the season and daily weather conditions.
Recommended light intensity values vary greatly depending on the type of crop. Kimo luxmeters accurately measure this brightness over a range of 0 to 100,000 lux. Thermo-hygrometers feature accurate sensors with fast response times that speed up measurement operations.
Data logging
Data logging
Depending on the type of crop, parameters can be recorded in order to analyse and detect the slightest variation in conditions in the greenhouse. The use of autonomous recorders makes these campaigns possible.
Kimo's Kistock programmable recorders monitor light, temperature and humidity over several weeks or even throughout an entire season. The connected TrackLog range also allows remote consultation on a PC, mobile phone or tablet.
KH 220
The KH 220 Multifunction Data Logger is the answer when up to five parameters are need to be recorded simultaneously.
Data Loggers are widely used in agriculture, industry and clinical laboratories to monitor a variety of parameters.
KT 320
Need quick access to data but don’t want to remove the logger from its location? The KT 320 Multi-Function Data Logger utilizes wireless connection via the Kistock Mobile app which allows for connection between the logger and a smartphone or tablet. It can also measure up to five recordable parameters simultaneously.
KT - TrackLog
The KT TrackLog Data Logger records temperature and humidity with high accuracy and consistency throughout the entire life-cycle.

Metrological requirements
Metrological requirements
In greenhouses, varying light, temperature and humidity conditions require precise measurements to avoid climate management errors. Regular calibration of instruments ensures reliable data for crop protection.
Sauermann calibrates instruments according to numerous parameters in its laboratories in Montpon-Ménestérol, France.
