Reliable measurements for optimum HVAC management
Duct measurement is a highly complex process, since its effectiveness depends on the many different configurations of the ductwork. Good measurement is essential to ensure efficient air distribution in a building and the comfort of its occupants.
Mapping cross-sections, taking into account turbulent areas, determining the right measurement locations and taking multi-point readings (exploring velocity fields)... All these complex methods require the use of portable and fixed measuring instruments with different probe types.

Hot wire measurements
Hot wire measurements
For clean, non-turbulent air networks, hot-wire measurement is the most precise and sensitive solution. Throughout the ventilation network, our probes and their extension leads enable measurements in compliance with existing standards (NF X10-112, NF 12599, NF 16211, etc.).
Our hand-held devices feature an "Average" function to obtain a flow value that represents the entire airflow in the duct from several measurement points. This method ensures optimum measurement of the duct airflow.
Pitot tube measurements
Pitot tube measurements
L-shaped Pitot tube measurement enables reliable measurement in ducts where the air may be polluted, at high temperature, slightly turbulent, and up to a speed of 100 m/s. This measurement is made using a pressure sensor integrated into a manometer or multifunction device.
To compensate for any turbulence, our Class 210 and 310 devices feature a "measurement integrator" function to smooth out fluctuations. An averaging function also enables reliable determination of duct air velocity or airflow.
Continuous monitoring
Continuous monitoring
Sauermann manufactures DEBIMO wings with various measuring points positioned in accordance with NF X10-112 standards, ensuring efficient measurement averaging. This measurement can be compensated for temperature and atmospheric pressure, depending on the associated sensor model.
For highly sensitive, accurate measurements in non-turbulent flows up to 50°C, hot wire is recommended. For turbulent and polluted flows up to 210°C, DEBIMO wings provide a more suitable multi-point, averaged measurement.
Si-C320
The Sauermann Si-C320 is an evolution of the KIMO C 310.
For clean rooms, regulated environments and industrial VAC applications where a perfect regulation/monitoring of the air parameters is needed, our Si-C320 transmitters provide reliable measurements and allow you to achieve compliance with the strictest regulations.
The Si-C320 housing is waterproof, rugged and resistant to vaporised hydrogen peroxide (VHP). It also features a colour touch screen for comprehensive viewing and advanced control of measurement parameters.
In addition, measurements can be recorded and downloaded via the Sauermann Control application/software.
