For example, for each internal AC unit within your property, up to 150 litres of condensate per day can be produced. Likewise, boilers can produce up to 150 litres on condensate per day per property. A condensate removal pump such as the Sauermann Si-30 or Si-82 will easily pump this condensate safely and efficiently into a drain line and storage tank (for other possible purposes). 

A water pH level of seven is neutral. A pH below seven is considered acidic and above seven alkaline. A one-point difference can reflect a huge change. For example, a pH of six is 10 times more acidic than pH of seven, and a pH of six is 100 times more acidic than pH of eight. Condensate from AC units is similar to rainwater and has a pH of nearly seven. This makes it ideal for gardening. Condensate from boilers is a lot more acidic and can have a pH that is close to three. For the latter, gardeners may need to use a neutraliser to make it more alkaline. 

Such condensate can be very useful for your garden. For example, ferns, irises, camellias, blueberries, orchids, and a variety of other flowers, perennials, fruits and vegetables etc. all grow very well in acidic environments. 

Regulatory bodies such as the Environmental Protection Agency in the United States often have strict standards for AC and boiler manufacturers, so the condensate produced is often cleaner than most city or well water.

With water restrictions and usage often regulated during the hot summer months, it makes a lot of sense to grow parts of your garden with condensate that would otherwise be wasted!
