At Sauermann, we are facing up to the crisis with flexibility and maintaining high standards of performance thanks to the efforts of our hard-working employees.

Since early May, staff have gradually been returning to our various sites after a period of working from home. Employee safety remains our number-one priority, and we have limited the number of people in our offices at any one time in order to adhere to social distancing rules.

Our measurement instruments remain on the front line of the fight against COVID-19. They are being used to monitor and maintain air-supply and ventilation systems in many health care facilities around the world.

In China, the massive manufacturing of protective masks requires rigorous filtration tests. Sauermann is proud to be part of the effort by supplying a large number of CP 112 differential pressure transmitters to Chinese manufacturers to equip their test benches. The goal is to certify the masks and filters as conformant with YY 0469-2011 (China), GB 2626-2006 (England) and EN 1822-3: 2009 (Europe) standards.

We are making every effort to keep our employees safe at work by sourcing additional protective equipment – masks, gloves and hand sanitizer gels, as well as goggles and disinfectant wipes where necessary – for all our entities worldwide.

04/30/2020:
Our teams have been working hard to keep our manufacturing and service operations running since the outbreak of the public-health crisis in China, France and the United States. Our production-line employees are now familiar with the special measures introduced to protect them against the virus.

Sauermann Ibérica is preparing to deliver 250 stand-alone data-loggers to Spain’s national healthcare system. The devices will be used to monitor the temperature of refrigerated drugs.

04/23/2020:
Our measurement instruments are used in hospitals and in the pharmaceutical and food-processing industries. We have been assigned key supplier status in a number of countries, including France, China, Italy and Romania.

04/21/2020:
Our production site in China is now back up and running at full capacity. Employees have the protective equipment they need to follow public-health guidance in the workplace. Deliveries are being shipped to all destinations again as normal.

The lockdown measures imposed worldwide are forcing us to rethink our relationships with our customers and partners. We are adapting accordingly. In the United States, our subsidiary has kicked off the air conditioning and cooling season with a series of webinars entitled “The Basics of Refrigeration”.

Our front-office teams are taking and processing orders as usual, and the entire supply chain is working hard and in unison to fulfil them.

Our R&D teams are still hard at work, developing our new measurement and pump ranges. Preparations are already being made for when the lockdown is lifted, with several new product launches in the pipeline.

Still on the front line in the battle against the virus, Sauermann is proud to equip field hospitals with differential pressure sensors with solenoid valves. These instruments constantly monitor the vacuum in the containment chambers so that the virus will not spread outside the room.

We are committed to helping each other and actively support our partners and suppliers to help them sustain business, at least on a partial basis.

03/16/2020 :
Implementing our business continuity plan: our employees continue their work in all our establishments and production lines. Requests are handled at home office, and employees who cannot work at home take advantage of all the security rules and safety measures required by the French government, and strictly followed by the company.

03/13/2020 :
We have secured our logistics networks in France and Europe, to ensure our supplies of components, as well as deliveries to our subsidiaries and customers.

03/09/2020:
Italy: Our main Italian subsidiary is outside the inner containment zone. We have taken all necessary actions to secure our supply chain in Lombardy.

03/06/2020:
New instructions are given to Sauermann employees: business trips outside the European Union are cancelled. Likewise, employee movements between Sauermann's locations, and in European risk areas, are suspended until further notice.

03/02/2020:
Sauermann's management has issued to all its employees the preventive measures to be taken to avoid or slow down the spread of the virus as much as possible. In case of fever or coughing, employees are advised to remain confined at home.

02/26/2020:
Highly solicited during this period of crisis, Sauermann responds to the demand of many medical establishments in China and Europe by supplying its measuring instruments for air control and monitoring. Sauermann remains a major player in hospital equipment! At the forefront to face the crisis!

02/10/2020:
Operations resumed at our head office in Pudong.

We began assisting our national and international sales team, with daily updates on the evolving situation.

We conducted a situation analysis, mapping our products and suppliers, assessing inventory status, and identifying every link in our component/product supply chain.
We put arrangements in place to share details of our impact assessment.
 
02/03/2020:
We set up a crisis management unit to oversee all aspects of the situation, and to assess its impacts and implications for Sauermann Group’s business and our ability to deliver to our customers.
We reviewed the personal circumstances of all staff members working at our two sites in Shanghai (Jiading and Pudong).
We took an inventory of thermometers and personal protective equipment (masks, goggles and sanitiser gel) and shipped supplies as required.
